August Soybeans finished up 12 1/2 at 1010 1/2, 4 1/2 off the high and 12 3/4 up from the low. November Soybeans closed up 12 1/2 at 978. This was 13 up from the low and 4 1/2 off the high. August Soymeal closed up 7.2 at 301.7. This was 6.4 up from the low and 1.0 off the high. August Soybean Oil finished up 0.28 at 38.84, 0.12 off the high and 0.32 up from the low. November soybeans surged above yesterday´s highs to start the day session, and then pushed to a minor new high for the day in late morning before finishing higher for the day. Meal and oil were also higher with meal posting a substantial gain versus oil on the day. Traders said there was little fresh news for soybeans today with support said to come mainly from wheat along with a sale of 120,000 tonnes of soybeans to China for delivery in the 2010/11 crop marketing year. Traders indicated that commission houses were buyers today with support also coming from funds and other specs. China´s Ministry of Commerce said today that they expect a drop in China´s soy imports during July and a further decline into August. Weather forecasts call for rising temperatures in the Midwest over the next week to 10 days, although this is not expected to damage the soybean crop there. However, hotter and dry weather in the Delta and Southeast may cause some damage to crops that will be in the pod-setting stage over the next week to 10 days.
